Stephen Alexander Cooper was found to have engaged in professional misconduct for: failing to perform legal services undertaken on behalf of 1 client to the standard of a competent lawyer; failing to follow the instructions of 1 client in a mortgage transaction; failing to assume complete professional responsibility entrusted to him; failing to directly supervise staff to whom particular tasks and functions were delegated; delegating to his staff tasks that he was instructed by 1 client to perform personally; failing to be honest and candid when advising 1 client; misleading 1 client to believe he had performed certain tasks personally, as instructed; failing to maintain the integrity of the profession; permitting his staff to sign his name on documents, including solemn declarations, as if that signature was his own; permitting a non-lawyer to forward to 2 clients documents relating to title tra
