THE LAW SOCIETY REFERRAL SERVICES USUALLY GIVE YOU THE NEXT LAWYER ON THE LIST REGARDLESS OF SUITABILITY.  THAT IS NOT WHAT A REFERRAL SERVICE SHOULD DO. BE WARNED.

CANLAW GIVES YOU THE CHOICE OF SEVERAL LAWYERS WHO ARE QUALIFIED FOR YOUR CASE

Law societies do not protect cionsumers from lawyers, they protect lawyers from consumersThe Law Society of Ontario is one of the worst bullies attacking us because we cost them a huge amount of fees charged to people seeking referrals. We have never charged for referrals and never will. Beware of the LSO (LSUC).  CanLaw filed a defamation suit against the LSO (LSUC). It was a waste of time. Might Not Right, Prevailed.

Generally when you call a law society referral service, you get the next lawyer on the list based on where you live. Take it or Leave it. They will only give you one name and that even could be a disbarred lawyer who has been reinstated or a lawyer who has stolen vast sums of money or worse. Yes, law societies even reinstate disbarred lawyers.

The Law Society of BC says that law society referrals are a conflict of interest and so did not offer one until recently  Strangely they started offering referrals recently despite their belief that it is a conflict of interest.

Other law societies, especially the LAW SOCIETY OF ONTARIO , are not so open.

SO STOP AND THINK. THE LSO (LSUC) WILL NOT PROTECT OR HELP YOU IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH A LAWYER. THEY PROTECT THE LAWYER, NOT YOU.
